During this hot weather here are our tips for looking after your pot and hanging baskets.
Water twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. If more water is needed during the day water beneath the foliage, avoid watering the leaves and foilage during the sunshine.
If you are unsure when a hanging basket needs watering you can check by applying pressure to the basket to get a sense of its weight. After watering do the same test and you will know when a basket needs water.
If possible, move pots and hanging baskets to a sheltered, shady spot. This will protect them from too much direct sunlight
If you are going on holiday, group the baskets, pots, and containers in a shady area. This offers protection and makes it easier to water by whoever is tasked to look after them. ...
